“Miguel-Urzanqui clearly shows his integral conception of Chopin’s piano concertos, an approach that transforms these two works into a kind of concertante piano symphonies, giving them an incredible, formal and expressive cohesion.”
Luca Belloni, composer and conductor.
“His good and developed gestural technique adds to a detailed and deep musical intelligence. Diego Miguel-Urzanqui has musical knowledge that goes beyond what is purely academic and conventional and an extraordinary ability always showing solidity of preparation and security on stage.”
Jordi Mora, orchestra director.
“Maestro Miguel-Urzanqui has the valuable ability to fully understand the peculiarities of each soloist and to exalt them during the performance of the concerts. I have never had the opportunity to express myself so freely through music and at the same time, be so well accompanied.”
